Unfortunately the days of diplomacy and respect in a discussion context are long gone, sad really because shouting gets no one nowhere
Your right but we only have to watch certain of our ‘Leaders’ past and present, to see it in action. They seem to think that if they constantly shout the ‘other person’ down, that person will give up and change their view. How wrong can you be!!
Genuinely loved hearing this today. Thank you
A calm head in a wasps nest. Lovely stuff, sir!
I fear these wise words will fall on deaf ears. for all that is good with social media, there is an underbelly of hate that seems to take up a very large part of the “social media waves”… the problem is the apathy and tardiness by the likes of Twitter, clamping down on it.
Whilst I totally understand and agree with you, the temptation for people to point score or "prove" they are right irrespective of the bigger picture means attempts at a civil conversation is lost
Currently on Twitter I am being abused by angry anti-vaxxers who are very annoyed with me for saying I think the vaccine is safe. What is the best way of dealing with this aside from undivided indifference.
